Man Fashion: Lacoste 2008 Spring Collection

To mark Lacoste's 75th, creative director Christophe Lemaire took the path of least resistance, back to the label's Biarritz roots. People in that part of France are fond of an old, tennis-like ball game called Basque pelote. really have what it takes to update a classic. He opened the show with white blazers trimmed with red and black, especially the first all-white looks had an appropriately vintage feel, worn with Basque-red cummerbunds and espadrilles to underline the regional story.

Lacoste still means tennis, especially when the company's box at the U.S. Open was a fashion hot spot, but Christophe Lemaire has managed to extend the association with intimations of other leisurely pursuits. Lemaire can at least make his audience think summery thoughts.

Man Fashion: Patrik Erell Men Fall 2008 Collection

If you are looking for man sporty elegance style, then you are not require to look for alternative, Patrik Ervell has released his latest sporty fashion collection in NY fashion week recently.

Shawl collared one button jackets were layered over knits and button ups and paired with refined trousers that looked as comfortable as they did smooth. Other trousers had double pleats that looked refreshing instead of frumpy making a compelling argument for the overlaps of fabric.

Hoodies added a touch of functionality and sportiness to the collection as high collars overlapped giving the appearance of a double breasted neck. Meanwhile pull-over knit sweaters had double breasted shawl collars, which looked great alone or layered under a sportscoat.

Charcoals, beige and grey were the basis of a palette that came to life as gold made a significant appearance towards the end in the form of foil metallics and knits.

Duckie Brown's Fall 2008 Collection

In recent NY Fashion Week, Duckie Brown's fashion designers Steven Cox and Daniel Silver made a stunning statement about contemporary menswear—possibly the most intelligent catwalk display that Manhattan's men's shows have ever managed—with a presentation that perversely evoked the golden age of haute couture, when models would walk in somber silence while clients focused on the cut of the clothes.

Man Fashion: All about Men's T-shirts

As man fashion launches itself headfirst into 2008, emerging musical trends - most notably like new rave - seem to have influenced men t-shirt design industry in a variety of ways. Tops and T-shirts for men found on the fashion highway are so bright, colorful and splashed across with patterns that it's hard to believe that, at one time, the t-shirt was only available in one color - white.

There are so many different type of Men's T-shirt out there, and if you are looking for unique shirts for a gift or to add to your own wardrobe, it is probably is time to do some quick research at the different types of t-shirts that are available.

1. Men's pre-printed t-shirts. Men's pre-printed t-shirts offer an unlimited number of design possibilities including cartoon characters, television show logos and sayings, funny sayings, and novelty designs which suit your taste and styles.

Men and women’s t-shirts are usually cut the same, however, some designers create a slightly more tailored t-shirt cut for women’s designs. So remember to ask or try it out when you shop for men's t-shirt. If you are going to buy a t-shirt as a gift for a your special one, you will want to know how she likes her t-shirt to fit, loose or fitted. If you know this then you will know what t-shirt cut to look for.

2. Men's vintage t-shirts. Vintage t-shirts don’t always mean second hand. In some stores, men's vintage t-shirts are new shirts with vintage designs. If you are interested in this type of t-shirt then you will need to look for them in specialty shops and boutiques, as most regular retailers don’t carry vintage styles t-shirts. However, this is slowly starting to change.

Man Fashion: 5 Buy Calls for 2008 Men's Fashion

I am sure some might wondering, what should the trend in 2008 after my earlier post on 7 Men Fashion to avoid in 2008? There are many saying that 70's fashion is coming back, punk fashion should be in high popularity. Well, in my opinion, some of the fashion trends in 2007 might spill over to this year. Here are some of the fashion that will still in high demand.
  1. Jeans - In particular eco-friendly jeans. Since Levi's launched their the Levi's(R) 506 Standard Fit Jean for guys and the Levi's(R) 570 Straight Fit Jean for girls in end 2006, this type of eco-trend jeans will continue to dominant the jean's world in 2008.
  2. Watch - The classic trend is back, a classic round wristwatch, with hobnail bezel, Roman numerals, and a beautiful porcelain white dial. Patek Philippe Calatrava, a classic of the less-is-more genre, demonstrates, taste is one thing you can't measure with a ruler.
  3. Sweater Vest - Call it the revenge of the nerds, but the latest release of GAP V-neck sweaters is making your traditional sweater vest in your closet look a little outdated.
  4. Boots - Rocking this ensemble from head to toe, as David Beckham did on a recent Arena magazine cover—may not be for everyone, but chances are there's a pair of bovver boots or suspenders in your future.
