we're loving oluchi's blingin' jewel by lisa vest, as seen backstage @ the spring 2010 arise show. it's the same vest that caused quite the commotion earlier this year in south africa. refresh your memory here!
david tlale presented a basic palette of strong black and white pieces alongside metallic lilacs, browns, and gold. there was drama, there was femininity and there was menswear. here are the highlights:
a. he used lots of tassels and fringe benefits to spice up some of his black and white pieces. the ruffled, high-neck also added a dash of edge:
notice the tassels on the shoulder...
b. we're in all types of love with his sheer, romantic little white dress...he also threw in an interesting little black dress for good measure.
c. a hint of metallic chic in the looks below:
d. browns and golds also featured and seemed to form a mini collection of their own, complete with a modern take on the pantsuit, a sheer sequined dress with matching pants, and a one-shoulder evening gown:
e. the men were not left out in the looks below:
there were several charming elements in david tlale's pieces, several of which we look forward to seeing off the runway in the coming months.
hello folks! while we wait on official pictures from tonight's arise african promise collective, we just had to share a few snippets with you! STAY TUNED ;-)
