Up and Coming Men’s Fashion Trends for 2012

We know this is too early, but the catwalks are already seeing 2012 lines spilling over on to them and there is no better time than now to get your head around what will be big in style next year. Once the summer is over, you should start to remodel your wardrobe, ready for the winter and ready for the New Year ahead.

Here are our favourite and most wearable trends that you can expect to see in 2012.

Colours – the colours you will be seeing next year will without a doubt be bright, think turquoise, orange and pink. Just a sprinkle of these colours or a whole outfit will work equally well; don’t be afraid to dabble with colour, the brighter the better.

Tropical colours such as these will be popular all year round even in the colder months, even the Hawaiian shirt is making a comeback and has been spotted in three major runway shows so far.

Gingham is also making an unexpected appearance in catwalk shows and anything that wouldn’t look out of place at a summer picnic should be snapped up and added to any trendsetters wardrobe. Linen and cotton fabrics should be embraced in forms of jackets, trousers and shirts.

For the more extravagant male fashionistas there are a few trends that should only be attempted if you’re very brave such as crop tops with jeans, lace and sheer fabrics and meggings, yes that’s right man leggings, a brilliant name if ever we heard one. These are all things we would normally associate with female fashion but as men become more fashion conscious it seems they are taking more noted from the girls books and stealing our style favourites.

Crop tops and meggings might seem a bit odd right now but after six months of them on the catwalks we are sure these things will be as common as the quilted jacket by 2012.

Man Fashion: Men’s hoody trends for 2011

Men's hoody is one trend that never seems to go out of fashion; it may evolve slightly over the seasons but still always appears as a staple item in almost every guy’s wardrobe.

Men’s hoodies are the perfect piece for layering over other items when it starts to get a little colder, especially when they offer both comfort and style.

There are an assortment of styles of hoody available, many come in a variety of colours, some come with zips and others come with pockets.

Men’s hoodies really took off in the 70’s, which was when the hip-hop culture first appeared on the scene. High-end designers embraced the hoody and glamourised the garment in order to attract a wider audience. The hoody is no longer something that is simply worn to the gym or pulled over a tee when the weather gets a little colder; it’s now an item that can be worn on a night out or to a lunch date.

In fact the hoodies on the fashion scene today appear as popular as other must-have wardrobe staples such as jeans and tees. With so many styles available there is a hoody to suit all personalities and all occasions.

Many of the hoodies available on the market today also come in an assortment of different fabrics; the lighter fabrics are generally worn in the evening in order to create a look that is a little dressier, whilst the heavier styles are more suited to colder days or for activities such as winter sports.

The online fashion site Joe Browns has a variety of on trend cool hoodies, with styles ranging from the surfer-esque Indy star to softer looks and zip through sweats. Any one of the current styles featured on the site look great teamed with either high fashion skinny jeans or casual trousers.

Man Fashion: 2010 Mens Color Trends

As we are catching up with trendy fashion, color become an important ingredients in mens fashion designs.

So let look what are the top 8 men fashion colors trends in Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.

I always like Black, which is no issue to match with other colors. Black also used by many mens fashion designers in their 2010 collections, being it total black, or combination of black and other lighter tones.

Greens, made popularized by Lavin in his 2010 collection. A calming and refreshing color as well as easy on the eye! That's the color we all miss during summer with it’s greenery and warmth.

My another favorite combination so far, Grey and metallic. More and more mens fashion designers adopt these colors and put aside traditional colors that we used to.

Blue always relate to guys like pink relates to ladies. So there is no accident that Blue is one of the top pick by mens fashion designers this year.

Brown is the second neutral color and it is as popular as black. Brown looks chic and sexy and this makes it so popular in 2010.

My favorite White looks good and noble but I think this color will do better in spring and summer rather than in winter season.

Red is the most popular color and it just couldn’t stay away from men fashion in day one.

Men Fashion: Follow Your Own Style Revisit

I realized that more and more men today are focus on fashion and style, knowing looking good is an asset in every aspect of their lives: Business, personal or, social.

The fact is, a well groomed man is as important as his personality. In fact, most of you should agreed with me that first impression always count.

How to get a stylish look your comfortable with

Some men feel confident enough to do this for themselves, for those who are less confident an image consultant can be employed, to give help and advice. Alternatively, cheaper way is to learn from the web.

Men Fashion & Style

In today's world, to stay one step ahead, it's important to look your best. That means developing your own sense of style and this does not simply mean following fashions and trends for the sake of it.

There is a big difference between being stylish and just following the latest men's fashion trends for the sake of them.

A man fashion victim is someone who wants follow all the latest men's fashion trends regardless of whether they suit their body shape looks or, age and is someone who can't put his look together.

Looking your best does require a certain amount of effort, but ultimately, your clothes have to fit right, and suit your style, image and personality.

As I mentioned before, it's not about the clothes you wear -- it's about how you wear them.

There are enough styles out there, so I am sure you are comfortable finding your own style.

Be yourself

I always belief Wear what you think looks good, not what you believe is trendy.

You should always feel comfortable with what you're wearing, so stick to items that suit your personality and style, while keeping the occasion and setting in mind.

The key with men's fashion is always to match it to your personality, age and personal features.

Keep a good balance of basic and fashionable clothes in your wardrobe.

As a rule of thumb, not more than half of your wardrobe should not consist of trendy clothes, or worse, clothes that are out of style.

Finally, brand is always trendy and style, but it sometimes doesn't mean it will look good on you. So don't follow blindly.

Man Fashion: Relax Fit Trends in Fall/Winter?

Started from women fashion trends, shrinking fashion has since moved away from women fashion trend and hit man fashion world.

In the past few years, it seems that designers have had some strange inside joke going with the creation of skinny jeans, shrinking suits, and the vanishing break of men's trousers, making the likes of Thom Browne a fashion legend. Or maybe designers are simply prescribing their own belt tightening in this uncertain economy by using less fabric. Many embraced this 'restricted' fit, but others who braved the look for the sake of fashion were left holding our collective breathe, hoping not to put someone's eye out with a button projectile from our snug blazers.

Well if fashion forecast are correct, it appears relief may be in sight. This Fall/Winter fashion trends are showing a more relaxed fit. This doesn't mean that fashion designers are go back to the baggy, saggy ways of old. Instead, we are seeing a more appropriate relaxed fit that personifies an easy comfort that promotes physical fitness. Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Ralph Lauren are just a few of the designers who are relaxing things a bit for the fall. This, in my opinion, makes it easy to incorporate these looks in your signature style.

Man Fashion: City Shorts Fashion Trends

While people in the U.S and Europe are looking for winter fashion, our counterpart in Australia and New Zealand will enjoy their sunny day in the coming session, and of course, summer and beach wear are the current fashion trends in this part of the world.

What particular fashion to noted this summar in Australia is "city short", or rather called Bermuda short.

It has been a long time since a man's knees were seen in the office but that may be about to change.

The "city short" is the hottest tip for this year's men's summer fashion.

The new-look city short has already been clocked on the men of London and New York this year.Singer turned fashion designer Justin Timberlake also showed men in city shorts at New York Fashion Week, in his work for fashion house William Rast. Other giant fashion designers such as Ralph Lauren has showed their City Shorts their 2008 Spring Collection

"Anybody over the age of 35 will remember men used to go to work with shorts and long white socks and the accessory to go with that was the pen to stick in the side of the sock," said Peter Holder, of ACP's Men's Lifestyle.

"It looks good but I don't know if it would be accepted by everyone in all offices," she said.

Have you got one for yourself in last summer, or intend to get one now?

Man Fashion: Men In Tights Fashion is Back?

Believe it or not, there's a new trend in men's fashion, men are now looking for fashion tights or skinny jeans or khaki pants. According to one of the recent fashion report, UK stockists are reporting record sales of sheer, patterned and support tights for men. Retailers say men's tights are not being sold as fetish garments, but as practical, comfortable and – most worryingly – stylish everyday wear. "I don't know what is going on – sales have gone mad," said Kieran Hughes, director of the tights stockists Precious Collections.

"In the past two months we have gone from selling 300 pairs of tights a month to men in the UK, to selling more than 1,000." Men give three reasons for donning skin-tight legwear. Some simply like the added insulation they bring underneath trousers. Others put them on under shorts and claim they bring such health benefits as back support. And a few even claim that tights are the latest symbol of metrosexuality. Mr Hughes said: "German men have been wearing them for years. More than 50 per cent of German men wear tights, including famous German football players. I can't imagine many footballers here doing that." Online site Legwear4men reports that it is struggling to cope with demand, while Mytights reports that its new men's line sold out almost immediately, particular skinny jeans and similar fashion. Tights aimed at men are designed slightly differently from those worn by women – and not just because they come in sizes large enough to accommodate burly rugby players. They usually feature support panels, sometimes include front openings that resemble flies on jeans, and also have reinforced feet. Will you get one for yourself?
