Zara Shahjahan at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Karachi
Zara Shahjahan showed a Baby Doll collection as an ode to film star Husna. The pieces were short fitted shirts reminiscent of the '70s that the designer drew inspiration from with rich use of embroidered textiles. The colors moved from black to white and bright teals and yellow featuring beaded work. It all worked together and worked well with the embroidered fabric Zara used. Zara took the bold step to show shalwars which is truly desi and a trend that doesn't stay at bay for long.

Khadija Shah of Elan at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Karachi
Khadija Shah of Elan presented a mixed bag of elegant evening outfits for begums (which are her forte and make a hot selling designer) featuring cuts with style and bejeweled embellishment and then she presented bejeweled dresses that really did nothing for us. Though diamante and jeweled necklines might add an extra oomph to a glamorous tunic when worn as a kameez, they do little for full length dresses.
