Men Fashion Watch: Montblanc's Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronograph

For those who still regards Montblanc as pen brand which happens to make watches, this stellar roll-out is going to make them eat their words. Just kidding.

With the Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronograph, Montblanc now joins the ultra-elite club of watchmaking house who can lay claim to having their won in-house movement (the watch's innards that is conceived and produced entirely by the brand itself). Inspired by Nicolas Rieussec, a 19th century watchmaker who used to make watches for King Louis XIII, the elegantly appointed watch borrows its look from a pre-cursory chronograph mechanism that Rieussec himself created in 1821. On Montblanc's version, the watch is outfitted with the manual winding Calibre MB R100 that lets the users start, stop and reset the choronograph mechanism with just a single push button on the crown.
