Innovation

Innovation: I think it's a good thing. I like to discover and implement new things in my life. Stucking at a particular point that feels safe is tempting, but renewal is de key to improvement.

You're probably wondering whether I have some pent-up philosophical thoughts I have to express. But no, that isn't the reason of this expression. I just thought about it because I think the idea behind this outfit is a bit innovative. It's the first time I'm wearing two skirts in one outfit. I've owned the skirts - let's say - seven years now, and I've got them in four different colors. I often wanted to throw them away or to sell them, but since the other morning I'm so glad I didn't. I discovered they look great when I'm wearing them above eachother, and it's easy to create different looks with the different colors.

Mickey mouse sunglasses

I was so happy when I found these sunglasses! I think they are insanely cool. Round glasses always reminds me of mickey mouse! You also didn't see this top on me before, but I own it for a while now. To be more precisely, I bought it two years ago (as a dress) and I wore it just one night since then. At that moment, I didn't like it. But now, since I rediscovered it as a top, I think it's pretty lovely. It's the perfect pop of color that makes a black and business outfit more playful, young and fresh. I've to go now, so no big story this time. I just leave you with the pictures! And with the announcement that I'm selling these shoes. Unfortunately, they are one size too big for my feet. They are size EUR 37/UK 4, so if you're interested, please let me know!

Caged shoes and engraved cuff

Last Sunday, it was the first time I wore some of the items I bought in Antwerp the day before. I'm talking about the pink skirt, the orange top, the silver cuff and the shoes. The shoes are exactly the ones I was looking for. I adore chunky heels at the moment and, in view of the summer, open shoes are perfect. Also I can't imagine I used to hate orange. Since the sun is shining occasionally, I totally love the color. It's almost Queensday in Holland, that means: everyone is celebrating the day in orange clothing. So I'm certainly good with my orange obsession at the moment, haha.

The favorite items outfit

What was in the Guess' bag in my previous post? This amazing leather jacket! It's definitely a great investment. It's worth his price. I think I felt in love with an item again, haha. I wore this outfit yesterday. I combined it with my bag that's same-colored as the belt I'm wearing, but accidentally I left it in the car so you can't see it on the pictures.

Now I'm watching the pictures again, I notice that I combined all of my favorite items for this outfit. The orange dress is from Romwe and I really love it. Orange is one of my adorations at the moment, and chiffon is always a good choice when it's sunny. Then you have the boots and the sunglasses, who were also worth the money because - as you probably have seen - I wear them a lot. And last but not least, the bright yellow nailpolish. Such a great color, very playful. I'm sure my nails love it, haha.

So you wanna see colors..

I begin to recognize a pattern in my Friday's outfit choice. Everytime it's sort of a I grab the items that came first in mind, because I don't have time to think longer about them situation. But sometimes that's a good thing, because creations that I otherwise would never have imagined, arise. I think this outfit is in the category color blocking. A few years ago, I'd never have thought to wear pink and orange together. However, I think it looks great. Love the cheerful 'vibe' it has. It makes me happy.
