Outfit: "On my way to the beach"

A more relaxing, nonchalant outfit than usual for today. This was the outfit I wore (the way) to the beach. I thought the cute floral printed dress was perfect for this occasion. Of course it's wearable for many other occasions too (for example, visualize yourself the dress with beige suede wedge sandals and a little beige chain bag), but firstly I want to show you this combination.

An outfit before my vacation

Live from Spain: I'm sitting on the balcony of my apartment right now, enjoying my vacation. We arrived yesterday in the evening after a good flight, and I can't describe the amount of happiness I feel when I'm thinking about two restful, peaceful ánd above all entertaining weeks. The outfit below is the outfit I wore last Tuesday, when I was still in Holland. I had to prepare a presentation for university (the last one for this academic year, thank gòòòòòd), visited my grandpa and bought the last stuff for my vacation.

To the max

Inevitable, that's characteristic of the maxi-trend. I translated the trend into sheer maxi skirts, but I've never worn a opaque maxi dress before. Yesterday it was the first time I did, because I like to experience as many different styles and trends. I still prefer sheer maxis above maxis like this one for me, but though I want to share the pictures with you.

Until the world ends

I told you about my obsession for sheer clothing before, so this made by myself skirt isn't the most surprisingly addition to my wardrobe. I got the inspiration for this look by the sparkling one shoulder bodycon dress of Siobhan McKenzie. As you've probably seen here and here, the clothing of this upcoming designer is totally fabulous. I paired the outfit with my new "Mickey Mouse" sunglasses and some silver and black accessoiries. I didn't use an overdose of jewelry - like you probably expected after seeing my previous post - because I think the outfit speaks for itself.

I'm still here

I can't remember the weather was so nice when it was April in The Netherlands. It's amazing, I wish the weather was so warm and sunny the whole year. It's for sure I'll move to a sunny country in the future. These pics were taken on my day off and I wore my new dress and hat. The dress is a bit see through but I'm wearing a skirt and a top beneath it. But for beachdays it would be perfect with a swimsuit underneath. Also the weather finally allows me to wear the hat and shoes together. However, this shoot gave further evidence for the fact that unstable sand + heels (even if they are wedges) aren't a good combination.  But I'm sure you're aware of that.

Caged shoes and engraved cuff

Last Sunday, it was the first time I wore some of the items I bought in Antwerp the day before. I'm talking about the pink skirt, the orange top, the silver cuff and the shoes. The shoes are exactly the ones I was looking for. I adore chunky heels at the moment and, in view of the summer, open shoes are perfect. Also I can't imagine I used to hate orange. Since the sun is shining occasionally, I totally love the color. It's almost Queensday in Holland, that means: everyone is celebrating the day in orange clothing. So I'm certainly good with my orange obsession at the moment, haha.
