Settling affairs

Have you seen the movie Scarface? When I wore this outfit, I really felt like Al Pacino's comrade. Preparing for making a big business deal.. Even though Al Pacino's business isn't the sort of business I want to be familiar with, I felt comfortable with this look. I had to finish some projects at home this week, and I like doing that when I'm wearing clothing with a high level of comfort. The ruffled sweater has become my best friend this week, haha. The pants I wore are my self-made palazzo pants. I prayed the outfit wouldn't  make me look like I just woke up and forgot to change my pyjamas into something proper (because I combined the wide-leg pants with a loose sweater). I hope you think it worked out in a good way, but decide it yourselves! ;-)

Casual shizzle

This is the post I talked about yesterday. I just wanted to wear comfortable wear, because the only duty I had that day, was passing an exam. Even though I'm not the type of girl that always wear jeans, I really like these ripped jeggings. Actually, they are one of my favorites. There's a whole story behind them, after my red nailpolish fell on them and my mother - so so so sweet, I'm grateful for ever - scrubbed them day after day untill they were in perfect condition again. They always provoke a reaction like "Aaah, I'm so glad you cleaned them for me!". I styled them with my self-made sheer shirt and a leather jacket. Because it was a bit cold (even though it was the first day of summer) I wore a top beneath the shirt, so that it didn't seem to be transparent. The jacket was one of my obsessions last year (and the year before), and I decided it was a good moment to reinvent its strength.

Escaped from prison

Probably a lot people thought I was escaped from prison, but I totally love this kind of silly outfit. I think the vertical stripes on the tights and the horizontal stripes on the top I wore underneath the crochet sweater, are a nice combination together. I added the colorful bracelets to the look because one I totally love them, and two they gave the look the pop of color that was missing. The sunglasses are very appropriate to this outfit, if you ask me. I'm glad I chose these instead of my so called oversized diva sunglasses this time. What's your opinion?

DIY

After reading this post about Dip Dye Jeans on S.'s blog Confessions of a shopaholic, I remembered I had yet to show you my latest attempt of a DIY: dip dyed, studded, cutoff denim shorts!

I did it last month, on some shorts I ordered from e-Bay. What do you think?

An outfit with camouflage colors

I made myself a sheer shirt yesterday, and I'm glad with the result. I wanted a sheer shirt for weeks now and I got inspired for the color last weekend. I saw a great khaki sleeveless top in the same store where I bought these amazing brown leather shorts, but unfortunately it was too big. However, I was totally in love the color combination, so I immediately grabbed the fabric and started with my little project. I hope you like the result too, even though the weather didn't allow me to wear it without cardigan. I promise you'll see it more apparent in another outfitpost. The accessoiries I wore today, are my lovely Prada bag (it's from a couple of seasons ago),  two bracelets of olive/brown wood, a little scarf worn as a bracelet and brown earrings. I think those completed my so called "safari-look".

Big, bold, leather cross

A new start of the week, a new outfitpost. These pictures were taken last Saturday. The weather is sooo unpredictable in The Netherlands right now. The one day it's more than twenty degrees with a lot of sun, the other day you're forced to stay inside or take an umbrella with you when you go outside because of the overload of rain. Anyway, enjoying the sun whenever possible is the only thing you can do. And I'm fine with that. :)

I'm wearing my self-made cross-tee. I've wanted to make a top with a bold, leather cross for ages now, and last weekend I finally did it. I hope you like the design and the combination of fabrics. I styled it with my new Romwe shorts ánd tights. Love the rocker feeling the outfit gives, so it isn't surprisingly that I chose the harness booties for the shoot. They are still on sale (size EUR36/US3)

Self made palazzo pants

Today I took my self made palazzo pants out for a walk. Love the elegant and transparent fabric. The baroque print is just perfect, in my opinion. I decided to wear different sunglasses than you probably expect from me, given my most recent outfits. I can't help it, but I'm totally hooked on sunglasses at the moment. I'm seriously expanding my collection - even these sunnies aren't new. I bought a new pair today again, hope you'll like them.

Next, let's talk about the cute bag I'm wearing. I totally love it. It's the cuteness itself and - also important - it looks stylish ánd it's functional. It's a must have when you don't want to bring your whole oversized bag with you, but you don't want to put your mobile phone or ID card in your pockets (or your bra, or something like that haha).

PS last but not least, my favorite Dutch soccer team AJAX has become the champion of The Netherlands. I'm so happy about it. Unfortunately I'm not able to go to the ceremony / party in Amsterdam!
