spotted: dr. precious moloi-motsepe @ audi joburg fashion week

stumbled on this photo of dr. precious moloi-motsepe, chairperson of africa fashion international, on the first day of audi joburg fashion week winter 2010. doesn't she look ravishing? what a gorgeous color. because we have photographic memories (no pun intended) when it comes to things like this, we immediately noticed she wore the same outfit at new york fashion week last september [we know, we know - we're clearly under-utilizing our brains]:

twice as nice! while some folks get up in arms about certain people not being able to wear the same thing twice, we're all for re-rocking...and looking even better the next time around ;-) fashion can be so infuriatingly pretentious. gosh.

what say you?

several more posts to come. we literally have a million blog posts in the works [okay, maybe we're exaggerating] but we have to pace ourselves so we don't post 30 times a day.

please don't forget to click this post to see how we're donating to haiti on your behalf. all you need to do is leave a comment.

have a fantastic weekend! do something different and memorable - we know we will!

on repeat: funke fowler in tiffany amber

when it comes to poise and elegance, they really don't come much more fabulous than funke fowler, owner of the ultra chic boutique, leila fowler. for this edition of "on repeat", we feature one of her brands of choice, tiffany amber by folake folarin-coker. it makes perfect sense, doesn't it? tiffany amber is, after-all, fluent in elegant chic:

EXHIBIT A

our first find features funke fowler at the launch of the rebirth bags collection at leila fowler several months ago. her top is from tiffany amber's arise african fashion week 2009 showing

EXHIBIT B

at the official red carpet launch of rebirth bags at terra kulture, funke fowler chose another piece from the same collection.

EXHIBIT C

now, we're launching into aso-ebi territory. funke's elegant outfit appears to be adapted from a piece shown from the same collection as the first two. funke's skirt is a more fitted option.

a similar piece was also spotted on an attendee at the 2009 genevieve pink ball:

EXHIBIT D

this piece is another of funke fowler's tiffany amber aso-ebi adaptations. the embroidery was replaced with a simple belt:

the piece above is from tiffany amber's recent showing at new york fashion week for her spring 2010 collection. the designer herself wears a similar piece below:

clearly, funke fowler knows what works for her and she certainly works tiffany amber well.

on repeat : tolula adeyemi

we're big fans of the re-rock. who cares if you've worn it three, four, THIRTEEN times? british/nigerian actress & model tolula adeyemi clearly gets it, pictured above and below in two pairs of louis vuitton spicy sandals. and she loves her LV clutch, too! right now, we're rocking our american apparel raglan sweatshirts! if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? so, tell us, anything in particular you rocked and re-rocked to death this summer? we're curious. please share :-)
