This month's True Love West Africa cover girl is none other than the uber talented songstress, Lami Phillips, whose CD is in very heavy rotation at the SLiq headquarters [*coughs* one day]. Her sound is an eclectic mix of neo-soul with a dash of spoken word and uptempo lyrics that are bound to get you singing along. We dare you not to like her album, Intuition! She's certainly more than a pretty face and sings like she believes and means what she says - but don't take our word for it. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan records another Song for an Upcoming Bollywood Movie

Due to the ongoing tensions, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was restricted to get a visa to go to Indian for recording a song for the upcoming film Love Aaj Kul, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.But, they don’t say it for nothing, that where there is a will there is a way and so Rahat Fateh Ali Khan came up with a way to get the job done. He recorded the song in a Pakistani Studio and later sent the recosing over to the film’s composer Pritam Chakraborty through email - Technology at best use.

Pritam had it ascertained that the song would be sung by Rahat, as his brilliant and melodious voice is not one to be compromised for.

One of Rahat’s childhood friend from Faisalabad reveals that this in fact is the third time Rahat has recorded a song in this fashion.

The song was recorded in two hours. The song is to be pictured on Saif Ali khan and Deepika Padukone and the lyrics of the song are ‘Dil da vasta’.

Although. It is only after release one can judge how the song turned out. Yet, the best part in this adventure was that despite the ongoing tension, Pakistani singers are not falling back from their commitments.
